A: The web site migration service offered by Kremer Design is absolutely free of charge and consists of moving all your files, databases and emails from your current web hosting provider to your brand new web hosting account with us. We will also modify all the configuration settings necessary for your websites to be completely functional on our advanced cloud hosting platform.Our technicians are fully capable of moving just about any website. With years of work experience behind their backs, they’re well–versed in the specificities of our hosting platform, our Control Panel as well as all other widely used Control Panels. For them, transferring a custom–built app with a lot of custom libraries is as easy as transferring a plain WordPress–based blog.

A: While we can’t give you an exact time interval, since there are lots of factors, including the size of the files and databases, the location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your site and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we will do our best to migrate your web site within 48 hours, and in some cases – within 24 hours (when the website content is not large).

A: We don’t gather any information that is personal. We’ll need, though, the login information for your current hosting account and the name of the website that you wish to migrate.

A: Our Privacy Policy is an inseparable part of the agreement that we’ll have with you as a client. We’re dedicated to protecting the security of the private data collected from the customers. To do so, we use technical security measures to prevent the loss, the misuse, the modification or the unlawful disclosure of the private data under our control. The security measures include, but are not limited to: physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the details that we accumulate on the Internet. When we request customers to present financial info (for example, a debit card number), this info is masked using the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption method.

A: While we move your site, it will be available both in your hosting account with us and in your account with your previous web hosting provider. After the transfer is done, we’ll make certain that everything is working correctly and that the integrity of your content is not compromised before telling you that the transfer is completed. Then we will tell you how to move the domain name to your web hosting account with us and how to update your DNS resource records.

A: While we migrate your content, your web hosting provider will not be aware of the transfer at all. We won’t contact them in any way.

A: We can transfer your site from any hosting provider or any Linux–driven web hosting platform on condition that we can acquire access to the Control Panel and there is FTP access available.The only websites that we are unable to migrate are those based on closed–source software applications such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
