Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain name extension is the only one intended for personal websites only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level names remained online.

Through our firm, you can order your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no special conditions on who can acquire a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME generic domain name extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the proper spelling in your local language.
